This car comes with tasteful upgrades to enhance the driving experience. The upgraded 2.2 Liter Flat-6 from a 1971 911E with Weber Tipo 40IDTP3C carbs that produces more power than the original 2.0 Liter, and the upgraded 911/01 dog-leg 5-Speed is a huge step above the original Sportmatic this car was equipped with. The records that accompany the car are wonderful and go back to the mid-1980's. We believe that the engine and transmission were upgraded before that date. The car lived in California for the first part of its life a went to Texas in the late 1980's. The car was stripped to bare metal and repainted in the factory Signal Green in 1991 to a very high standard that still shows very nicely to this day. The owner at the time ran out of time and money to finish the car and it sat for many years until it was sold to another Texas owner who spent tens of thousands finishing the car. See photos of receipts in gallery. Other notable items include upgraded front suspension as the Hydropneumatic suspension was notoriously faulty. From recovering interior seats in factory Beige leatherette and carpets to exterior trim and mechanical work, this car has been thoroughly sorted and enthusiast owned for the past several years in South Carolina. The dash gauges, lights and sunroof all function as they should. The headliner is original and has some light staining and curled edges. Having come from California, Texas and South Carolina, the body, floor and wheel arches are very solid and original. No signs of accidents or rust.  The car runs and drives Car Cave SRQ has recently acquired the car and has put on a new set of tires on the 14" refinished Fuchs, and had a full service and compression test. Included with the car are a full set of tools, large binder of maintenance records, Porsche COA, and full Fuch spare dated Sept. 1968. This 911E is an extremely reliable example, the previous owner would use the car for about 2 hours each Sunday in the countryside. We have put a set of brand new tires, had it freshly serviced in June of 2021 and is now ready for thousands of happy miles with a new caretaker of this exceptional long-hood 911.
