This 2006 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission and is finished in Crystal Galaxite Black Metallic over black Exclusive leather upholstery. Equipment includes a custom side-exiting exhaust system, a speed-activated spoiler with an air-brake function, butterfly-hinged doors, carbon-ceramic composite brake rotors, 19″ turbine-style alloy wheels, automatic climate control, a Bose six-disc CD stereo, carbon-fiber seats, and Mercedes-Benz Motorola cell phone in center console.
The front-mid-mounted 5.4-liter AMG V8 was factory rated at 617 horsepower and 575 lb-ft of torque and features all-aluminum construction, 24 valves, dry-sump lubrication, and a Lysholm-type twin-screw supercharger. Power is sent to the rear wheels by an AMG Speedshift five-speed automatic transmission.
Turbine-style 19” wheels are mounted with brand new 2022 date coded Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires sized 255/35 up front and 295/30 out back.
Delivered new to Mercedes-Benz of Sarasota in Sarasota, FL, with an MSRP of $455,750. Finished in stunning deep metallic Crystal Galaxit Black (U158) with Large size Nappa Black leather over Carbon Fiber seats. Carbon Fiber interior trim, factory Mercedes branded Motorola phone in center console, owners books and service records accompany the car. Full serviced in October of 2022 by Mercedes Benz of Sarasota which included full oil and filter change, new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires and TPMS sensors, AC charge and full inspection. Included are previous owners service records which includes over $20,000 in records from Mercedes Benz of Ft. Wayne IN between 2018-2022. The CarFax shows no accidents and a very strong service history from new. This beautiful SLR is in wonderful condition. The exterior has been fully paint corrected and ceramic coated by Sage Auto Studio of Lakewood Ranch, FL in October of 2022. The paint shows like new. Deep, clean, smooth and no major scratches or dents. There is a minor surface crack in paint on lower front bumper. The Turbine wheels have been beautifully kept and show no curb rash. The interior is just as nice with no rips or scuffs in the leather or carbon fiber trim. All systems operate properly. Under previous ownership this car received a custom straight pipe exhaust that gives this car the sound it deserves. A fantastic deep rumble at idle and a great noise upon acceleration, but not enough to be a detriment as these cars are notorious for being underwhelming sounding from the factory.
One of just 261 SLR Coupes built for MY2006, and a true modern classic. This car represents a true icon of the early 2000's supercar era. McLaren's re-entry into the road car market, and a Mercedes venture back their heritage with the SLR moniker.
