1997 ½ Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster finished in Fly Yellow over Nero leather seats. Build date 6/1997. Chassis #12805. With 35,500 KM (21,530 miles) showing and backed up with Clean CarFax and maintenance records. Powered by Lamborghini’s iconic 5.7 Liter V-12 engine and backed by their all-wheel-drive system with 5-Speed Manual Gated Transmission. Believed to be one of just 132 Diablo VT Roadsters built for the US market between 1997 and 1999. In 1997, the factory redesigned the front bumper to replace the traditional quad rectangular driving lights with two round and two rectangular driving lights. The front brake cooling ducts were moved inboard of the driving lights while the rear brake ducts featured vertical ducts on the SE30. The engine lid was changed to house the carbon fiber roof when not in use and to allow the cover to vent properly when the roof was stored. The air intakes on the top and sides were increased in size and the engine power was increased to 530hp with the addition of the variable valve timing. Top speed was increased to 208MPH as a result to these changed. According to the Diablo registry, 16 Diablos were made in Giallo Fly and of the 16, just 7 or 8 were Roadsters. This is a wonderful example and includes all owners books, tools and maintenance records back to 2008. Equipped with factory 17” 3-Piece OZ Racing Wheels wearing Pirelli P-Zero tires dated coded 2019 with less than 1,000 miles on them. Major service was done by Lamborghini Houston in 2019 including new clutch, power steering pump, belts, plugs, coils, and wiring harness. A full recent service was just completed by Sarasota Italian Garage in November of 2021. Runs and drives beautifully.
