1994 Lamborghini Diablo VT

SOLD: From the cover of Road and Track, to under a cover, and now off to a museum. This 1994 Lamborghini Diablo VT #RLA12178 North American press vehicle has made it's way home to the old Lamborghini USA headquarters in Jacksonville. This car has now come full circle and we are pleased to have been a part of it. Last July, We were told about a Diablo and a few other cars sitting under some covers in South Florida. We made the trip to check them out not knowing much about them at all. But sure enough, there by a canal, under covers were this 1994 Diablo VT, 1966 Jaguar XKE Roadster, 2007 Ferrari 599 GTB, and a 1967 Austin Healey 3000 BJ8. A deal was struck and the cars were trucked back to our shop. Once the cars were here, it was time to dive in. Upon reading all the included documentation we discovered that this Diablo had a very interesting early life. It was owned by Automobili Lamborghini USA and was used for the first year of it's life as the press vehicle. This car was featured in period on the cover and adorned the pages of Car and Driver as well as Road and Track. We were able to track down the original photographers who were kind enough to send us their images from 1994 to confirm, and sure enough based on all our paperwork as well as matching the glass etched VIN in the photos to this car, it was a match. The car racked up several thousand miles as a press vehicle and graced the pages of Car and Driver, Road and Track, attended press events and test drives.  In early 1995, at Lamborghini Beverly Hills, the car received a brand new engine, the odometer set back to zero and was sold as a new car with a warranty! The car was then sold to a customer in Pennsylvania who owned it for over 20 years. Then was sold to the owner here in Florida where it sat for many, many years. Having only traveled just 10,000 KM since 1995, and sitting for many years, it was decided to do a major undertaking and get the Diablo back on the road. Since then, a yearlong undertaking of getting the Diablo back on the road and back to its deserved condition by @SVMotorsports has been long,  but turned out beautifully. And for the icing on the cake, the car has been sold to an incredible collector who houses his cars at the old Lamborghini USA headquarters in Jacksonville where this car was imported into the states back in 1994. We love being a part of these car's wonderful history and being able to share our passion with other car enthusiasts!
