Car Cave SRQ is pleaded to offer this single owner, extremely well-kept, low-mileage Coupe example of the desirable, final production year of the original 930 Turbo, featuring the Getrag G50 five-speed transaxle. The 196th example built of the 639-car model-run, this exceptional 930 was completed at the Zuffenhausen Porsche factory in September of 1988, and finished in perfectly fitting Slate Gray Metallic exterior color, while fully equipped inside with top-of-the-line features and trimmed in Black leather with matching premium carpets and optional velour trunk liner. A US market example, the new 930 was delivered on Dec 29th, 1988 to its first and only owner, a Mr. J. Barranger, by Price Porsche in New Castle, DE.
The accompanying documentation as well as CARFAX report documents show owners use from new, while consistently logging the Porsche's mileage. Documentation includes original window sticker showing that this was a well optioned car with original MSRP of $74,047. Options include raised steering hub, Heated Left and Right seats, Blaupunkt Radio, Short Shift Lever, Lumbar Support Seat Left, Supple Leather Seats, and Luggage Compartment in Velour. Along with the window sticker comes all service records, books, original purchase documents and assorted original parts that were replaced (alternator, coil, etc.). Mr. Barranger adored this car and was a Porsche afficionado and the condition reflects as such. After owning the car a short while and having the selling dealer service the car, Mr. Barranger was annoyed to have to drive over 150 miles to what was the nearest Porsche dealer for service. He decided to open up a Porsche Certified Shop called European Coach Werkes in Frankford, DE and as a Porsche Certified Mechanic himself, would look after the car. This 930 has had wonderful care and regular service and care from new by a wonderful owner. The current service is all up to date and was completed by well-respected air-cooled 930 authority and PCA Club Techincal Advisor, Lou Verdiales of Daytona Beach FL. The paint has been measured using a paint meter and shows all original paint on all panels. A paint correction and ceramic coating was done in January of 2022. The beautiful Fuchs wheels show like new and are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The black leather interior is just as one would expect from such a well preserved example. The Supple Leather seats are in wonderful condition with no rips or tears. The dash is clean, with no cracks or warping. The car was kept inside and covered to prevent any sun damage. The A/C blows cold and the power sunroof operates smoothly. All power windows and mirrors work properly as well. A true time capsule example of a rare and collectable G50 equipped 930.
