1988 Porsche 930 Turbo Coupe

SOLD

This 1988 Porsche 911 Turbo coupe was delivered new to Pioneer Centres Porsche in San Diego, California, and it was specified in Venetian Blue Metallic over Marine Blue partial leather. It is powered by a turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six linked with a four-speed manual transaxle and an optional limited-slip differential, and additional equipment includes an Andial Racing intercooler, black 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels, four-wheel cross-drilled and ventilated disc brakes, a sunroof, a tea tray rear spoiler, an aftermarket radio, a trunk-mounted amplifier, and air conditioning. The car is said to have spent 22 years with a single registered owner prior to its recent acquisition by the selling dealer, and work in September 2023 has included fluids services and replacing the air filter, distributor cap, spark plugs, ignition wires, engine belts, valve cover gaskets, vacuum hoses, intercooler seals, shifter bushings, and CV boots. This 930 Turbo coupe is now offered with a Porsche Production Specifications sheet, a window sticker, a stamped maintenance log, records, a damage-free Carfax report, and a clean Florida title.

The car was finished from the factory in Venetian Blue Metallic (L36F) and has been repainted. It features a sunroof, fog lights, a tea tray rear spoiler, black stone guards ahead of the rear wheels, a rear window wiper, and dual exhaust outlets. Close-up photographs of the exterior finish and trim are shown in the gallery below.

Staggered-width 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires that were installed in June 2022. Braking is handled by four-wheel cross-drilled and ventilated discs. The CV boots were changed in September 2023.

Marine Blue leather and leatherette extends from the seats to the dashboard and door panels. Amenities include air conditioning, an analog clock, an alarm system, an aftermarket radio, a trunk-mounted amplifier, and power windows. The removed radio is included in the sale, and the shifter bushings were changed in September 2023. The driver’s door lower seal is torn.

The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,700-rpm redline as well as a 170-mph speedometer and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, fuel level, and boost pressure. The six-digit odometer shows 60k miles.

The turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six is equipped with an Andial Racing intercooler and was factory rated at 282 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque. Work in September 2023 included fluids services and replacing the air filter, distributor cap, spark plugs, ignition wires, engine belts, valve cover gaskets, vacuum hoses, and intercooler seals. Compression test readings dated September 2023 are shown in the gallery below.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Additional photographs of the underside are shown in the gallery below.

The window sticker lists initial delivery to Pioneer Centres Porsche in San Diego, California, along with factory equipment, colors, and a total vehicle price of $68,234.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage and lists registration history in California, Virginia, and Florida.

The seller notes that the options code sticker is present under the front hood.
