1957 BMW Isetta

Japan Red - Ivory

SOLD!

This 1957 BMW Isetta 300 is an outstanding restored example of the classic German-spec export Isetta. Featuring an eye-catching two-tone Japan Red over Ivory paint scheme (1957 was the only year that the 2-tone paint scheme was offered), this BMW Isetta is certainly one of the most unique micro cars ever made. With its unique front door, its 'egg' shape body, and its 300cc/13hp motor with 4-speed manual gearbox, this is a classic micro car that has been steadily climbing in value. The paint and interior are very nice.

The Isetta was restored about 6 years ago after being purchased from a Michigan collection of micro cars. It was then taken down to bare metal and repainted and upholstered. The 300 cc engine was gone through and freshly serviced and tuned. New OEM exhaust was installed along with new tires, and carb dismantled and rebuilt. Recently tested up to it’s maximum speed of 51 mph. This cute BMW is equipped with the optional cabriolet top, chrome bumperettes, and windshield wiper.
